This included a diversion to Penrith, to Keith Scarlett (ex-Northern TR Centre). Phil had been experiencing throttle problems, with the throttle not closing. He needed to lift the throttle with his foot! The problem was diagnosed as seriously worn throttle linkages that were jamming, which was odd since they had only done 6000 miles since a rebuild. The side trip to Keith enabled this to be corrected, and the fitment of a replacement 2nd hand rev counter to replace the original which had failed at about Edinburgh. The original was left for repair and refitting later.

Nigel Cardale, with a TR6 from Iveston, near Consett, County Durham rang on 17th May asking for details of Humber Bridge Group's Dales weekend on 8th and 9th July.
